Ann Marie Barry

Ann Marie Barry is a professor of Communication at Boston College and Associate Director of the College Capstone Program. Honored with the lifetime Distinguished Research Award by the International Visual Literacy Association, and twice with the Visual Communication Research Award of the National Communication Association, she is the author of Visual Intelligence and numerous chapters and articles focused on the neurology of visual communication.

Professor Barry is also recipient of the NBC/Carnegie Institute National Teacher's Award; the Distinguished Service Award of International Visual Literacy Association; the Distinguished Service Award of the Salem and Peabody Mediation Program; and is an invited faculty member of the Boston College chapter of the Golden Key National Honor Society.
