Reconfiguring Rhetorical Studies Colloquium at the University of Minnesota Duluth on October 4, 2007
Four scholars from around the United States shared their work in Rhetoric giving hour-long presentations on their most recent work.
Dr. Elizabeth Birmingham of North Dakota State University spoke about women and their imprint on architecture. Dr. Angela Ray of Northwestern University discussed women and their impact on the 19th Century Lyceum. Dr. Kevin Brooks also of North Dakota State University spoke on the importance of incorporating popular technologies in the college classroom. Lastly, Dr. Joshua Gunn of the University of Texas evaluated the rhetoric of “kitsch” and love in society. Organized by the Reconfiguring Rhetorical Studies Collaborative and cosponsored by the University of Minnesota Commission on Women.
